CMPDIL has called for bids for appointing an International Consultant to provide
“Consultancy for Resource Assessment of Coal Mine Methane/Abandoned Mine
Methane, Techno-economic analysis and related matter in the command areas of
BCCL and CCL located in Damodar Valley”. TCBM, along with an International Consultant as the lead consultant, has participated in the bid expressing interest to take up the job and is waiting for the outcome.
CMPDIL has also called for an Expression of Interest (EOI) for Development of Coal Mine Methane in identified areas of BCCL and CCL of Coal India Ltd. TCBM intends to take full initiative to encourage a financing company to become the lead company in this EOI, along with a suitable operator as required in the tender, and pursue the whole process to develop CMM in India.
TCBM has since been awarded with the contract for Desorption & Lab Studies as well as Adsorption Isotherm Studies by M/s Reliance Industries Ltd for their Sohagpur East and West CBM blocks. M/s ESSAR has also awarded the contract to TCBM for Adsorption Isotherm Studies
TCBM is waiting to have the letter of engagement from M/s RNRL for conducting Desorption & Lab Studies as well as Adsorption Isotherm Studies in their four allotted CBM blocks in Round 3.
